The General Assembly of the United Nations proclaimed the international decade for people of African descent with its resolution 68/237, themed “recognition, justice and development”.
The decade is a timely and unique opportunity to underline the important contribution made by people of African descent to our society and to propose concrete measures to promote equality and to combat discrimination of any kind. The decade takes place from 2015 until 2024.
The Kaneza Initiative coordinates the activities of the decade in cooperation with the High Council of the African Community in Germany.
